Parallax // Keyframe timeline animation

You have probably seen a couple of these before, well not exactly like this one, but some which are like a moving backgrounds. The biggest example of this type of work is in the Super Mario Games or Sonic Games, where the background is in constant motion using vectors to move right to left or vice versa.

Keyframe Timeline Animation, or also known as Parallax Animations, are animations that have a starting point and an ending point. It has been used in a lot of films, commercials, and series, meaning that the use of keyframe animation is limitless. It is not only about moving right to left; any sort of movement, rotation, scaling, colour change, or even more are ways in which you can adjust your animation to make it so much better.

Now time to explain my atrocity of a parallax animation (only kidding). I decided to go for a different approach to the usual panning. As you can see, this focuses on the front pan (if that is what you can call it). The visual illusion of the cars driving forward while the buildings look like we are driving away from them. The moving road allows for the simple effect of thinking that the cars are moving too, but in fact they are the only stable thing in this animation. Even the clouds are moving, so for this, it is layers, over layers. over layers to make this 5-6 second animation.
